Making "Personal"

For quite some time now I have thought that the ultimate in New Year's card would be nothing more than a single URL which, if clicked on, would take the user to a personalized greeting card.

There are only two problems with that. First, what would be an appropriate greeting once you arrive? Second, if you have children you can't have a New Year's card without including their picture.

Then it hit me. What if the picture of the kids was online? And what if it was what varied from user to user?
