Making "Ben & Jeremy Chunk"

I tried a large number of backgrounds for this image until Carol suggested just using the Ben & Jerry's clouds on a blue background idea. The clouds you see are hand-drawn by me (using the mouse), which explains why they don't look very good.

It turns out that it is almost impossible to get Jeremy to sit still for a picture. Fortunately, Carol finally managed to get a set of pictures of them which were all good.

This picture was the best one for the card.

I cropped out the children and placed them on a neutral purple background. Unfortunately, that didn't look very realistic, so I created a textured background instead. Also, since the original image was a little blurry (we're still getting used to the camera), I did my best to sharpen it. The new version of Photoshop does a great job with artificial shadows; if you look closely you can see that Benjamin and Jeremy are casting a shadow against the purple background.
